The story

How I got here.

Where this started

Why I changed it

What I do now

How I work

I learned early how women talk about their own bodies.

My mother — a woman I loved completely — had a habit of talking about herself with quiet cruelty. And because everyone told me I looked just like her, I absorbed every word as if it had been written about me too. That's the thing about the stories we inherit: they don't announce themselves. They just become the voice you carry into every dressing room.

Then I had three daughters who were watching.

How I talked about myself in front of them was a choice, and I was choosing wrong. I wanted them to grow up comfortable in their own bodies — which meant I had to get comfortable in mine first. Not by changing my body. By learning to dress it well and stop apologizing for it.

Twelve years, hundreds of closets, one repeated discovery.

Almost nobody has a shopping problem. What they have is an information problem — nobody ever explained which necklines, proportions, and fabrics work with the body they actually have. Once you know that, getting dressed stops being a daily negotiation. It becomes about thirty seconds long.

Encouraging, but honest.

I will tell you when something isn't right. I'll also tell you exactly why, and what to look for instead — because "no" without a reason just leaves you back where you started. Warm, direct, a little playful, and always practical. Every tip I give you should be usable this week, not someday.

01

You are allowed to dress well at the size you are today. Not after the ten pounds. Not after the milestone. Today.

What I believe

Four things I'll say more than once.

02

There is no such thing as a problem area. There are only proportions, and proportions are workable.

03

Getting dressed shouldn't take a hundred decisions. A good edit means fewer choices, and better ones.

04

My real job is teaching you your own eye — so eventually you don't need me standing next to you to know it's right.

Who I work with

Women who are ready to pay attention to it.

Mostly women in their late thirties, forties, and fifties. Not because something dramatic happened — usually just because it's finally time. She's built a life, she's good at it, and she'd like her closet to catch up.

She might be going back to work, launching something, turning a number that ends in zero, or simply tired of the same four outfits. All of those are good enough reasons.
